ALAN TAKES THE CHAIR AT SALISBURY ROTARY CLUB

The Rotary Club of Salisbury is pleased to announce Alan Corkill as its new President, succeeding Peter Mitchell, from 1 July 2025.

The ‘Handover’ ceremony, at the White Hart Hotel, in the presence of a large number of Salisbury and Wilton Rotarians and guests, including Past Mayor and Rotarian Atiqul Hoque; Honorary Member Colin Webber, Past District Governor Rotarian Caroline Millman and President Peter Edge from Wilton Rotary Club.

Alan, who joined Salisbury Rotary Club in 1983, will be well known to many in the city as the former Manager of the Playhouse Theatre.

In his acceptance speech, Alan commented:-

‘Rotary is about making new friends and, importantly, working and helping on a variety of community related projects and activities. Our members have a common purpose – to make a difference to people’s lives and have some fun at the same time. I very much believe that ‘the more you put into something, the more you get out of it’.

‘Continued support for those in our community who are not so fortunate will be at the forefront of this Club.

‘Support for our community is of increasing importance to us all and we need new members to ensure that we can do even more. So, I would urge you all  – if you want to make a difference within your community – come and join us in Rotary to make a difference.  All that we ask is that you give us your time, expertise and commitment when and where you can.’
