SALISBURY ROTARY INSTALLS ANOTHER LIFE SAVING DEFIBRILLATOR

Salisbury Rotary Club was delighted to fund the installation of another life saving heart defibrillator at the Friary Estate Office in Whitefriars Road Road, Salisbury.

Defibrillators are used as a treatment for life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, specifically ventricular fibrillation and non-perfusing ventricular tachycardia .

The defibrillator delivers a dose of electric current (often called a counter-shock) to the heart.

Peter Mitchell, President of Salisbury Rotary Club, said: ‘It is vital that our communities have access to these life-savers. Let’s hope that none of us have to use one, but if you have to, you need one in close proximity to you, as every second counts. So, with help from Spencer Mulholland, we will continue to get more and more in situ around the local Salisbury community.’
